It looks like SACC is out of covers and foam for 1973 seats. A place called Mustang Market has the 73/74 (also late 72) covers, but no foam. They said the mold for the foam broke. I think these covers were (or are) made in Baja California, Mexico. I don't know where the foam was made. Does anyone know of another source for this stuff?

If Scott is not restocking, perhaps he can provide his source. It's often the case that all the vendors are obtaining parts from a single source; the broken mold may be the reason Scott is out of stock as well.
Thanks Julian. I checked with Scott and he still had some foam. Problem solved.
I called Scott and he said I got his last sets of foams. He does not plan to do another production run. Instead, he plans to sell his mold. A company in Las Vegas has been making the foams for him. Upon request they will do a single day run for Panteras and produce 30 or 40 sets. He said that quantity was sufficient for 1 or 2 years of orders. If this business opportunity is of interest to you then give Scott a call.
Sounds like an opportunity to put the Mustang Market guys in touch with Scott!
A couple of years ago I purchased the seat foam from Scott. I brought it to my upholsterer. He said it was real nice. Only problem was I was used to sitting on 50-year-old foam now my head was hitting the roof. You may want to test fit the seats before you put The Upholstrey on in case any alterations need to be made. Just my two cents!
This car has dropped floor pans but it can't hurt to test fit the seat with just the new foam in place. Thanks for the suggestion.
I’m in for a set of foam if it becomes available
I'm up for new foams and seat covers. My foam is slowly escaping out the vent holes on the seat pans. Kind of looks like my pillow in the morning....
Dear Ed: PM sent Chuck Engles
Let’s get 15 people so we can make a run. Or maybe one of the vendors is up for it
This reply was mostly for Steve Buchanan, but I thought everyone else here might be interested.
I contacted the Mustang Mart guy, who said he was out of foams, and his mold was broken. I offered to repair his mold for free, but he didn’t seem interested. I wonder if he was making them or buying them?
As per Steve Buchanan’s suggestion I contacted Scott at SACC to see if he would lease or sell his molds, I haven’t heard back yet. In a much earlier post here, Scott graciously mentioned where he was getting the stuff from, but they no longer support Panteras.
Wilkinson doesn’t have anything.
There are a bunch of companies that will CNC mill foam for seats, but I suspect that the cost of creating the necessary 3D files might be prohibitive for just 1 car set. Back to the bulk purchase concept.
I have a good auto upholstery guy who can do them, but he’s talking 800 -1,000 for the upholstery plus the foams. He thinks he can come up with a very good match. He said that he could cobble up something for the foams as well. I suspect that this is how I will end up going. He’s also talking to the Mustang Mart guy to try to figure if the seat upholstery is up to snuff. He thought that the price was great, however.
Please keep us updated Ed, again I’m interested in a set

We wasn't out of foams because he has NEVER had any foams. His mold wasn't broken because he NEVER had a mold! He didn't seem interested because he DOESN'T have a mold! He isn't making or buying because he has never sold any.
There is a long story about why people like Mustang Mart and others on the internet that advertised that they had Pantera Upholstery and Foam. I won't go into it here other than to say SACC Restorations is the only company in the world (that I know of) that produced TRUE molded seat foam for the Pantera. Most upholstery shops and other vendors would glue together foam pieces and then shape them to fit. This method is time consuming with questionable results.
Our foam is made in the USA and is exceptional quality. We changed vendors when the original vendor that produced the mold and foam moved from Southern California to Mexico. The vendor that took over the manufacturing of the foam is in Las Vegas and the quality is MUCH better than the original manufacturer.
If someone has the interest of becoming a supplier to the Pantera community for Seat Foam let me know as the Foam Mold is for sale!
I spoke to Scott, who will sell me the molds. I spoke to the company that actually pours the foams, and they MAY be willing to do a run shouter that their usual 35 of so sets - at an adjusted price, of course. I should have a price in a day or two.
I don't care if I make any money on this adventure, but I don't want to loose any, and I don't want to end up with a container of seat fomes in my backyard.
So, who here would be interested in a set in the near future?
PM me.
I’m ready for a set 😊. Thanks for taking the initiative highly appreciated!
