How do you like the change....I was thinking of doing just the opposite and going with the 180's! Sounds great!
Way more cam lump now. You can hear the 180's here…

What's running in the background in this vid? Is that a vacuum pump running?
There is nothing running in the back ground... You might be hearing the air being sucked into the carb..
The link that 4NHOTROD posted is the engine idle around 1300 RPM w/ carb. The link below is around 800 RPM w/ EFI and 180's. I am much happier with the Hall mufflers and EFI on the street. https://www.youtube.com/watch?...HwB5RY9s1i51n2AO2wEQ
the car looks amazing, and sounds pretty tough as well!!!!!!
Very nice. What are the specs on that cam that is in there? Is there a different cam for the 180s vs the Hall Big Bores?
The long term solution to noise in the exhaust system MAY be to use 180 headers with "Cobra" side pipe muffler inserts.
They take the edge off of that hard "open exhaust" sound and give you more room then the short "Ansa" dimension mufflers do. They are also removable and the manufacturer will make them to any dimension that you need.
The Cobra side pipes are quite loud and these things help quite a bit. For you Corvette based people take heart, they are the same inserts used for the Corvette side pipes.
I want to say they take 12 decibels off of the exhaust but the next thing is everyone is going to be measuring the loudness of the exhausts?
I still have a stupid phone. A Blackberry, so I'm not into videos and sound bites...yet.
I'm the last one. Even Obama sold out and got a smartphone?

Same roller cam 232, 240 @ .050 - 566, 576 lift
Mark your car is bitchen.
I completely agree—bitchen! I think the new exhaust better suits the car too. I remember the 180's and they were LOUD! Your steering wheel looks really small. What is that – 5, maybe 6"?

Hum? I don't know of any open/active Police cases here involving vice grips, but do not mention "duct tape" to anyone. They are still looking for that guy.
