Replies sorted oldest to newest

The problem is most modern cars are simply viewed as forms of transportation. There is nothing that captures the imagination and leaves you wanting to enjoy your ride. The volt is a step in the right direction, people will just be messing with batteries and extracting more power. But nothing will ever replace the sound of a combustion engine, and that is what we will truly lose when the wells dry up.
There are some "recent" cars that I would like to have. That means I might be looking through barns for them later:

Toyota Supra Mark IV
Mazda RX-7 - Third Gen
Buick Regal Grand National
Acura NSX
Nissan Skyline R34
Nissan GT-R
Chevy Corvette Z-06
Porsche 911 GT2

That list doesn't include any exotics as I don't think that is the point of this thread.

I suppose the bummer is that half of my list are cars that are 10-20 years old.
