I've just been quoted 47.88 each for Victor Reinz 3502SG head gaskets for the Cleveland.

Dan has pointed out to me that these are superior to the plain rebuilders model 3502.

The price seems somewhat steep, but maybe I'm wrong.

Has anyone here purchased these recently and if so from where?

Thanks.

Is that U.S. dollars or U.K. pounds? I purchased a set from a local
NAPA auto parts store for around $100 U.S. Victor Reinz is a German
company but I don't know where they make the gaskets. If it's in the
E.U., I would think you could get them cheaper than we could.

Re-useable head gaskets, you have to be joking.

What ever happened to re-torquing headbolts.

Dan,

The UK Victor Reinz gasket man told me that p/n is not even on his system. I told him Mahle Aftermarket in the US had them on their's and that they had inventory. It took him 3 days to determine it was a US p/n and not a Euro one.

He told me it would work out just too expensive for him to import a set just for me.

I said thanks.

We have a well known engine shop here uin London, Real Steel. They stock some Reinz, but not for the Cleveland. They're your typical Chevy shop!

I'll go with the guys I found in the US on ePay and am just waiting to hear shipping.

Thanks for your help and comments.

Get these final few parts together is making me lose my hair. I'll stick with a crate engine next time round. Less trouble and half the cost.

I know others have been down this road.
