I could use some cooling basics. The car almost overheated in traffic. Spewed some
coolant. The system seems to be pretty old.

going thru alot of the same rich. currently changing radiator (aluminum or brass) with 3 fans. i am told the beast will run at 180f in traffic with air on. guaranteed. we'll see. good luck.

If your system is old, this is a great time to upgrade. Lots of improvements since 1970 !

Where does it leak ?
From the main tank (closest to the engine) ?

Check hoses everywhere. What is the radiator like ?
