I found 2716 for sale in New Mexico. Car looks nice in the pictures....but the price seems kinda low compared to what I have found as an average for a Pantera to sell for.
I was told that a Pantera expert inspected the car and said that because it was repainted and the interior was redone that the car has a lower value. (Bull...we know better than that)

Does anyone have any history/info. on this car. Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,
Rick

I don't mind having to fix mechanical/electrical/body/paint issues...I just don't want to be blind sided. I live in AZ and would have to travel to look at this car. I don't like big surprises. Little one...okay.
Been wanting one for a while now and I am so close and don't want a huge let down after driving for hours.
I was interested in this car also, so I asked a fellow Pantera expert who lives in New Mexico to look into it. Without going into a lot of detail, there seemed to be a number of minor issues with the car. Alternator was toast, A/C not working, springs too soft resulting in half shafts coming in contact with the body, body lines not all that crisp and drivers door not well aligned, very difficult to shift (trunion bearing possibly suspect), tires past due date, deck lid appears tweaked and modified at front edge, engine screen missing, drivers door handle cracking, paint average, carpets dirty, secondary tag on drivers door missing, car running too rich, signals not working, tach not working, wiring has been played with. OK, OK now for the good news: no visible rust issues, brakes good, frame looks good, door bottoms good, good oil pressure, leather interior, car sold at 2007 Russo & Steele auction for $40,700. So, you decide if it's worth the effort or not...I found something else in the meantime which was more suited to what I was looking for.
