Hello. Just curious about my production number and manufacture date. My Pantera was made in July 1974, and it was not sold until sometime in 1975. Were Panteras brought over(by Lincoln/Mercury) after this date? Would my Pantera be considered to be one of the "last" ones brought over by Ford? Best Wishes to All!

Yours is one of the last cars imported by Ford. 7380 is officially the last Pantera imported to the US by Ford. Not sure if that goes for all of North America.

the fact that it was built in July 1974 means it was actually built in the 1975 production year. Its actually a 1975 model! However, nobody recognizes the fact that any of the Panteras imported by Ford were 1975 models, they are lumped in with the 1974 cars.

Other Pantera L's and GTS's (assembled with coaches built by Vignale), with chassis numbers greater than 7380, were sold in Europe, but 7380 was the last US Pantera, perhaps the last North American Pantera, imported by Ford. US owners often forget their Canadian cousins were also recipients of Panteras imported by Ford.

The only difference between a US Pantera & a Canadian Pantera; US Panteras are kept in garages, Canadian Panteras are kept in igloos.
