The Arizona Pantera Owners Club of America (AZ POCA) has coordinated a Track Day at the Inde Motorsports Ranch.

Link to: Inde Motorsports Ranch (Wilcox, AZ)

The event is open to all Panteras - we would like as many of our cars as possible.

The cost to run your car on the track is extremely reasonable ($150/day per car). Lunch at the track will be provided at additional expense per person.

The Inde Track is challenging, but extremely upscale, well run, and very safe. The AZ members have run their cars there several times in the past. This is like a "Country Club of Motorsports".

WE ARE TRYING TO GET AS MANY PANTERAS AS POSSIBLE BEFORE WE OPEN IT TO OTHER CAR CLUBS.

Even if you don't want to drive your car on the track, please consider bring your car out. There will be classes/groups for all drivers of all skill levels. Of course it would be best if you signed up (and paid) for the event.

Watch this space for the follow-on details, including a link to sign up, and hotel information in the Wilcox area.06-08-2013_Big_Cat_at Inde 008Inde_Motorsports_Track_Layoutinde10

SUGGESTED ITINERARY & LODGING INFORMATION:

Arrive on Friday afternoon (7 May, 2021) - check into the hotel (See Hotel info below)

On Friday Afternoon / Evening Jim Fusco (AZ POCA) will host a "Get Together" at his house. It may be a potluck, or we may request a small donation for food - This is still TBD.

Arrive at the Race Track at 7 AM on Saturday, 8 May for an awesome day on the exhilarating course!!!!

* You will need to have a certified helmet & your car will go through a basic safety check - mainly to make sure you don't have bad leaks. We will provide more details regarding vehicle & safety requirements, but they will be minimal & reasonable.

Saturday NIGHT after we all get back from the Race Track and clean up, we have a connection with the best BBQ Restaurant in town. We can all Eat - Drink - and BRAG about how great we thought we were - LOL!

Relax & Sleep at the Hotel on Saturday Night - and all drive back together on Sunday morning.

Additional Details on Lodging:

Actually, all Pantera tail lights occupy the same footprint.

The green car has the OEM Ford tail lights which do not have any amber sections. They were prohibited in the USA at that time. The European version of that tail light did incorporate an amber turn signal section and many owners have replaced their stock lenses with the European version. That style of tail light was originally used on the Alfa Romeo 2000 built between 1967 and 1971.

The yellow car is using a different style of  tail light which uses a different lens and a different housing. It was never used on the Ford cars but was installed at the factory on some of the later cars. That style of tail light was used on the Alfa Romeo 1750 built during the same period. It is often referred to as the GRP4 tail light.

Thank you for the clarification Larry.
Was is it because Italians often used what was available on the shelf at the time or was it a revised design that did not last long and was not used on many Panteras I wonder..

Here’s a nice picture of mine!

Special bonus:  Rich’s Pizza Car, at rest, and at speed!

Intersting,

when looking at Panteras parked or even on the road, I see the lines and curves of the body design.

Put that same Pantera on a track and its like I have x-ray vision,   I see the frame, suspension and a massive power plant under the driver's right arm

MORE PICS PLEASE

small volume coach builders very often source some of the components for their new models from previous vehicles.

The Ford style tail lights, remember these were originally from an Alfa Romeo, were used on the Maserati bora and the Maserati Kamsin and the short-lived Bricklin.

The windshield wiper assembly used on our cars was originally installed on jaguars, and our steering column was sourced from the early Ford capri.

And of course our Girling brakes are certainly not sourced from Italy😁😁
