The Mad Greek in Baker, CA was one of two must-stops on the way to any Las Vegas Fun Ralley (the other was the "Bun Boy" with its towering temperature gauge across the street). Unless you can blow up or enhance the license plates for a year, can't tell when the photo might have been taken. Might be on the back of the print. The tan car might be Nor-Cal's Diane Dean's '74.
In the late '80s/early '90s, the combined So-Cal/Nor-Cal convoy into 'Vegas for Fun Rallies was as large as 100 cars in a double line. Every freeway overpass in NV had radar-equipped police and sometimes, police helicopters and spotter airplanes. We made the 6:00 News on TV several times. I blame movies like 'Vanishing Point' for the overwhelming police response. Tickets for anything were rare.
