Hi, my 1974 pantera is haveing a hard time starting when it's warmed up. when I turn the key it clicks in the started but will not turn over the engine. After turning key one or two time the car then turns over slowly and starts. Also what is the relay in the front trunk for. I had to disonect in order to get car to turn over does the relay have any thing to do with my starting problem thank,you for any help you can give me.

The red buttin in the front trunk is the seatbelt interlock over ride button. in 1974 just about every car sold new had an interlock system that required the seat belt to have to be fastened to start the car. The red button in the front trunk disabled the interlock to allow the car to start without the seat belt being buckled ( in case the systems failed). The theory was to incease seat belt usage. More than likely it has been disconnected by the previous owner. My car has it and it was disconnected when I got the car.
