No. All thats necessary is to unbolt both tie-rod ends and the 4 bolts holding the rack in place. Plus, of course the bolt holding the steering shaft coupling to the rack. After the rack is out of the car, it can be stripped and the old bushing driven out from the inside with a long rod. If you feel lucky, don't bother removing the rack. Instead, remove the passenger side tie rod only, then the boot and the entire tie rod. Then position the new bushing against the old one and drive both inside as far as possible. There's enough room internally to do this once. So if the bushing has never been replaced like this before, you're home free. If it has, of course, you'll find that the new bushing won't go in far enough and you'll then have to remove the rack anyway. Racks use std rear end 80W90 lube. Good luck whichever way you choose.
