To all my eastern Canada buddies (Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto ...):

I have to be realistic an announce that my car will not be ready for Kingston. I am at an emotional low with the work and I would rather just putz with it. (eg. On Friday: took the dash to the upholsterer, did some more toothbrushing of the engine bay (yuck), worked on fitting the new a/c evaporator.)

Weekends are spent with the family at the flying club ... so that does not give me any time on Saturday and Sunday. The last three weeks in August will be in So Cal.

So ... I guess I won't make it.

Love the car, Great buddies, Good times, My apologies.

Sorry to hear that... But at least you are spending the free time with family and not at that other place (ugly 4-letter word, starts with W...)

My situation has changed recently and I am finding myself with more free time. I plan to rekindle my love affair with my car, which I've been neglecting, and if you need a hand on a weeknight - even just for emotional support - I'll be happy to drop by your place. Just let me know, I'd be grateful to get the extra learning time around another Pantera.

Bohdan,

These cars are a hobby, and should be enjoyed when time permits, without any sense of duty or obligation to anyone. We enjoy your company and the camaraderie, and well miss you in Kingston to be sure, but you do not need to apologize for not being there.

I am experiencing the same situation, but my diversion is the dreaded four-letter W-word (I assume you meant "work" and not "wife" Andy Wink ). At least your time is being spent creating fond memories and experiences that you and the family will share forever. The car can wait and so can we.
