I just sent my single slots into a local wheel place to get a slight bead blast to remove some poorly applied gold paint and then a fresh powder coat of silver to attempt to match the original silver color. The shop called me today to say that the wheels look to be very poor casts. The wheel material is "lumpy" the crusty gold paint was hiding the true surface of the wheel. Is this common? What remedy can I take at this point?
