Could you please tell me what the cross reference #s are on the original steering rack bearings are? The one I have is SNR BB10644 FOO. Also what Bearing Company Would have them?

Ben. I have just installed a steering rack re-build kit from Hall Pantera. Cheap. Get hold of them.

Hi, Ben. The ball bearings used are simple single row types, available almost anywhere such as Bearing Specialties on DelaCruz Ave in SAn Jose. Take your old ones in for a comparison. I also suggest you buy a copy of the 'Pantera Service Highlights, from an yoy of the vendors, or from POCA. It details the whole rebuid process, including re-shimming the pinion assembly when you change bearings. Thats why I advise NOT changing bearings unless the balls are severely worn, as its possible to back yourself into a corner in this reassembly: there are no extra shims available so if a new bearing requires one that you don't already have, you are then forced to have one made, maybe from a surface-ground valve spring shim or similar source.
