I just installed a LeCarra wheel that came with my car. Is it normal for this much of the turn signal canceling cam to be visible?
And is this much fore aft play normal? Seems like a lot.
Also, how do I know if I should replace my lower bushing?
I've found this:

but not sure how to check the bushing.

Sorry Larry, I'm confused; isn't it in place now?
The groove on mine seems wider than yours.
The groove is minimally smaller than the steering wheel end of the shaft. Very slight groove.
I thought you had a larger groove when I first looked at the photo but I do not think that is the case. I think your snap ring has slid out of the groove towards the front of the car.
Easy enough to find out with a wrench and a hammer😉

🤔🤔🤔
Weird indeed.
at this point I think I would measure the OD of the groove and locate appropriate snap rings in an effort to get a combination to fill the groove.

Maybe I need a $33 washer?

just an other snap ring or 2 will do
washer means ..get all stuff out..and it is painfull
Did you re-install the spring under the new steering wheel adapter?
Thanks guys. Yeah a second snap ring might do the trick.
Yes, on top I have the aluminum ring, spring, and cam.
