Love it and I have tried a lot of other carbs, including holley DP, road demon, Summit, and Edlebrock. It is the best of Holley and Carter/Edlebrock. The composite bowl keeps it cool and it can't leak. The drivability at low speeds is excellent and tuning it was very straight forward, although the kit to do that is rather expensive. It was a lot more easy to dial in with my AFR meter than any holley with a power valve. The 750cfm on my 393 stroker is like magic now. No hesitation and the secondaries are more mechanical than vacuum and can be dialed in. The off idle performance was the first think I noticed and then how strong it ran when the secondaries kicked in. Absolutely no hesitation and the electric choke works well. When it is installed the idle mixture screws are little difficult to get to, but a short screwdriver and a dental mirror can solve that.

No, it maybe slightly higher than a holley, I never had a factory carb to compare it to though. You have to be mindful of the choke linkage with some air-filter housings. Again, I did not have the factory one to see if it interfered. I noticed Summit has them on sale now, $313.00 for the 750 and <$300.00 for the 625.

My air-cleaner clearance issues came from my Edleborck air gap manifold. It is higher than the stock, but was able to run a low profile air cleaner housing to fit under the screen.
