Panteradoug was asking about pictures tonight in chat so here they are.

Frame reinforcement I found on my early 71

I believe these were done when the car was new maybe by Strope along with fiberglassing the aluminum gas tank.

Anybody have information on Strope or the work his shop did to the early cars. I was wondering why only the early cars had this.

One last thing my car doesn't appear to have any rust issue's so I think this work was done as a safety recall ?

To me this looks like non-factory repair-rebuild work. Not ever having an "early" car apart I can't be certain. The uprights look to have "typical" rust repair/rebuild done to them.
I don't think that deminishes the car since most Panteras will need it anyway.
All you can do is compare it to other cars.
I don't think it is cause for alarm.
