Intermittent Tach Issue Resolved (bad MSD tach adapter) | The De Tomaso Forums

I just wanted to thank everyone that takes the time to post information in resolving their Pantera issues. I have so much to learn, and this forum is priceless in helping others, like myself, to fix their cars.

So I've been t-shooting a tach issue where it would work when first started, but eventually start bouncing or not work at all after a short drive. Through this form I was able to diagnose the problem to be a bad MDS tach adapter. After replacing with a new 8920 tach adapter today, the tach is working perfect! One gremlin gone! On to the next!

Thanks for reporting. I have had a similar problem with mine since I got it back a couple of weeks ago. Will try your solution.
