Tach wire on a 1972 Pantera | The De Tomaso Forums

webbers1972 Pantera, Restored. How do I put pic on here?

I cannot find my Tach wire on my 1972 Pantera. My wire color are older and are a different color code than a new car, Right? Does the Wire come from Under the Floor? I see no bl/bK WIRE. Does it come from a White plug? Hmmm.

It comes from the nylon (white) connector at the firewall above the resistor block.

It's blue, not blue black. It looks like it doesn't belong to the harness.

There's a blue AND a blue / black that connect to the same pin in the nylon connector. The blue goes to the distributor, and the blue / black goes to the tach.

Note that in the pic, the blue / black wire has been cut.
