I managed to take my car's a/c fan switch out of the dash by gaining access through the a/c vent, but want to get in the whole area better....
is the dash top removed by removing 2 bolts on either side of the underneath the dash top?

there are 3 studs and the defrost vent tubes.
I found three studs and only two nuts on either side....! Pops out really easy.....
Be careful with those defroster vents! Still haven't sourced where they were used elsewhere.....!

Dash removal:
There are three screws, one on each side and one in the middle at the base of the windshield. That is the hard one. Upon re-installation I put some foam btween the dash panel and the place where the
center screw was to prevent the panel from vibrating and then left the center one off.
