I know this isn't exactly the throttle pulley, but here is a picture of the throttle cable support bracket I fabbed up. I ended up bending it down a little, but it supports the throttle cable, and gives a smoother "pull".

It's simple to make, you just weld a strip of steel on to your existing throttle cable bracket. It has to be bent to the appropriate radius.

The grooves are to locate and retain a couple of heavy tie-wraps to hold things in place.

The original idea is from John Taphorn.

When I switched to a Holley from a Motorcraft, the original carb throttle adapter bracket didn't work well.

With that bracket, yes, the Holley would not open entirely.

All that was needed though was to relocate the throttle cable connection on the carb.

This is a 1"x 1/8" piece of aluminum bar stock from Home Depot.

I didn't need to reinvent the wheel. That carb opened 100%.

The simple linear travel of the cable is 1-3/4". You adjust that with the -3 rod end to get the length and the height of the pedal right where you want it to be.

It is VERY simple fix?
