Throw out bearing housing retaining spring? | The De Tomaso Forums

For 10 years I have had a rattle in the bell housing. How is the spring supposed to be installed? Thanks!

...The Spring is set-up correctly. The Two Rounded Spring ENDS simply Hook-Over the Back of the Two Sides, of the Throw-Out FORK.

Thank you. I squeezed the spring loops together to take up some slack that I believe was causing the rattle. Took the tranny out yesterday and wish to reinstall tomorrow if I can find a TH bearing locally Part #1625T. I will give my local Napa store a try first.
