I am in the same boat. I have 17" wheels also and have done a pretty exhaustive search for tires. I really want to keep the backs at 285/40 (26") and also want to have a diameter offset like the stock set up. This led me to 235/40/17 (24.4") in the front, but there is only one brand, Kumo, that has the same tire in those sizes and it is an all season tire. The Conti Extreme DWs looks nice, but for the front I would have to go with a 215/40(too narrow), or a 225/45 (too large dia 25"). If you drop the back to 275/40, it opens up more choices. Nitto has some agressive tires (NT-05, -555), but again, two different styles front to back. I maybe making too big of deal out of the front to back offset. All opinions appreciated.
