Same thing happened to me. Motorcycle accident. I lost memory of almost an entire day, including the accident.

I thought I was unconscious the whole time, but when I called the businesses around the accident to try and figure out where my bike was, I talked to people that said things like "don't you remember me? I am the guy that helped you stand your motorcycle up. We talked for several minutes until the ambulance showed up." I never got the memory back.

Thank goodness you are OK. Sad to see another Pantera disappear. Especially such a beautiful one.

Did you have an "agreed upon price" policy?

R.

You are fortunate to be OK now, and we are glad you are still here to tell us!!
Jeff

Yikes!
I'm glad you are here as well Jeff.

Thanks,
Art

Hmmm, there seems to be a common thread here. Big Grin Someone was telling me that Richard Petty has no recollection of a major accident he had on the track. So this losing the memory thing does not seem to be uncommon under the circumstances.
I unfortunately did not have an agreed value policy. I am currently doing battle with my insurance company which involves appraisers and an umpire.

Thanks Robert,

Art

Art, in seeing the "before" pix of your cat, I find it hard to believe that any reputable appraiser would value your cat as low as you mentioned. In fact, I would find it hard to believe if it was appraised for anything less than $60k. The importance of being the last Pre-L model car and crossing the stage at Concorso Italiano are huge points to stress relative to your car's importance and, hence, value. Things like a weak US dollar, a stalled economy and an above average number of Panteras currently for sale, IMO, should not impact the appraised value of your cat.

I wish you the best in your battle. Please keep us posted ...

When my insurance company, (Wawanesa), told me they would give me 35K for my car, I used words like absurd, rediculous and insulting before I hung up. I think I have the right guy working for me, so hopefully I will get a fair amount.

Thanks,
Art
I like to consider myself pretty good at body work and fixing some pretty big damage, but DAAAMN! I cant come close to fixing that one.

I am glad you are ok and after an accident like that one, no one can say that a Pantera is not a safe car. That is some serious damage for any car. Be glad you were not in a Plastic Pig. In a wreck like that, one of those plastic cars would of completely came apart.

Good luck with insurance and finding a worthy replacement. I sure hope I never find out if my insurance will pay off.
Hey Art,

I'm not in the insurance business, but I'm PRETTY DARN SURE that car is totalled. Good thing you're not. Wow.

Your before pictures are amazing. A clean, hyper detailed car, showing some restraint from going over the top. (Sorry, after your roll, a bad choice of words.)

Glad to hear your spirits are up, which is vital. Probably have a new 'view' of life now I'd suspect. Keep recovering, thinking good thoughts... and posting!
