A critical point was brought up during this discussion regarding window travel. You can gain significant improvement with adjusting the window.

"I think an advantage of the Aerostar motors is that you do not need to make
a cutout in the window lift mechanism frame because the motors/gearbox are
thinner. This means the conversion can be reversed if desired.

I would estimate that the conversion to Taurus motors could be done for both
doors in one day. But I would plan one weekend.

An important issue is the adjustment of the window tracking in the channels.
The movable rollers on the window lift guide track are made on a flat piece
of metal. The window lift guide track is curved (as is the glass). This is a
major source of binding in the window travel. In addition, the rollers have no
lateral adjustment to control the pressure on the guide track. I bent a
slight curve in my movable roller bracket and slotted the mounting holes.

The top of the lift bracket guide track is positioned relative to the door
window track by washers behind the upper guide track mounting bolt. One too
few or one too many washers will cause the window to bind between the guide
track and the window channels. The higher up the window goes, the worse the
binding becomes. In addition, the guide track upper mounting bolt has no fore/aft
adjustment and the window can bind against the front or rear upper part of
the window channel. I slotted the upper guide track retaining bolt holes and
carefully selected washers for the proper spacing.

This all sound like a big hassle, but it is not that complicated. Leave all
the various mounting bolts slightly loose and the window will show you where
it wants to go as it moves. Find a compromise position. My windows can be
easily raised or lowered with one hand, yet will not fall when unsupported. The
Taurus motors move my windows up or down in 2 seconds. I would think the
Aerostar motors would do the same if the window tracking is well adjusted.
