So, I'm having some minor surgery this Friday, and it will be uncomfortable for me to drive my Pantera for the next few weeks, and I wanted to have a few things worked on while I was not using it. I went over to drop the keys off to the shop that did my restoration/modification, and the first thing Mike (the owner) says to me was, "You want to put a V-10 from a wrecked Audi R8 in your car? I have a chance to buy an R-8 that was wrecked from the front with no engine or drivetrain damage for a very low price." I told him it took me this long to finally start driving my car, I don't think I want to go through this again. He said, "Well then, find me a "tub" that I can transplant this into, i'd love to do it!" While at his shop in Van Nuys, there was a Porsche 918, a McLaren 720, various Ferraris, Audi R8s and Nissan GTRs.
