Attached is my attempt at a Vallelunga registry in excel format. Please let me know if you have additions or corrections. If there is no objection, I will volunteer to maintain the master list, and will provide copies to anyone. Eventually we should develop a web based registry, until then I think excel is the best format.

If this is useful, I also have similar files for Longchamp's and Deauville's that I will submit.

BT,

A very big Thank you for implimenting the De Tomaso information to your website. Please feel free to use any of the De Tomaso registry information from the Excel spreadsheet available for download from my website.

On a side note, I am seeking information about the Lamborghini Countach LP400S that was on display at the 1979 Frankfurt auto show. I have a friend that owns a "Grey market" Eurospec Countach imported into the U.S. in the early 80's. It matches all of the text only criteria found about the Frankfurt car, such a unique combination that this car is most likely to be the Frankfurt car. Obviously this would like to be verified. Could you please contact me about this subject via E-mail.

The registry information and E-mail link are available from my website link below.

Thank you, Ron

Looking over your list , I never realized Detomaso made so many Vallelungas. Is there any significance to changing the serial number format?

A variety of things: alloy bodywork, one-off bodywork, right-hand drive etc. etc. - basically anything that made them substantially different from the 50 glassfibre Berlinetta's Ghia were contracted to build.

My car (VL 1609) for example, has one-off Spyder bodywork by Fantuzzi, 1601 D was right-hand drive, 1606 is a Fantuzzi Berlinetta (a prototype). There were also other cars like the Ghia-bodied 'Competizione 2000' and the original light green Fissore-bodied Vallelunga Spyder (amongst others) that probably also have VL 16XX rather than 807 DT 0XXX VIN numbers.

Best,

BT
