I have Crane "Gold" roller-rockers and Ford Racing "tall" valve covers on my 351C. My car came equipped with a standard front oil dipstick (not the OEM extended unit). I subsequently bought a used OEM unit, cleaned it up and chromed it, only to find out that it doesn't clear the tall covers. My choices are:
a)keep the little dipstick b) buy a custom extended unit from Lokar and sell the OEM stick or c)buy new standard height valve covers. Any of you out there running the Crane Gold rockers with standard height covers? Does it matter if I have a stud girdle? I know I can just pull of the cover, lay on a straight edge and measure it up, but....
