Obviously from the looks of what we ALL have in our garage .. it doesn't appear we are too worried about the spotted owls, gas prices and global warming ...

And if our government was worried about it ... the price of a 21 SEER AC Unit, a condensing boiler, & solar panels would be affordable for everyone thur a rebate program that makes it possible for everyone to convert and save energy in a poor economy.

And if the SHALE GAS they found under the USA of which the SAUDI's are now DUMPING BILLIONS in to the US and suspending oil production in the middle east would make petroleum prices drop so i could by CAM 2 114 octane and store it behind my shop again like in the 80;s ...

Life would be just great again ... oh the 80's boy wasn't it wonderful !! LOL

Wow, a Ford fan perhaps? Is the new GT500 as great as the aluminum block would suggest? Cool how your Shelby and Pantera are inverse colors.

Yes a Ford fan. Grew up with them and sold them for 21 years.Never realized the colors were inverse but that is pretty cool.

The GT500 is an awesome car. As fast or faster than my Pantera with handling just as good. As a kid I felt cheated because I just missed all the really great muscle cars so I was determined to get one before they were gone again. The handling of the GT500 was the thing that really surprised me. I expected the power.

I think if you'd bought a year early and gotten the iron block version, the thing that would've surprised you would've been the lack of handling.

Road testers agree your car has a lot going for it only dreamed about by other muscle cars.

Mine also used to be faster than my cat, which was a bummer back then. But that was about 300 HP ago. Roll Eyes

My 1999 Mustang GT started out with less HP than my Pantera but I decided to install a procharger in the stang then #6656 felt slow so I bottle fed my baby. Been a Ford guy all my life but I respect all makes My old favorite non ford I owned was my 1968 Cuda 340 formula S sorry I ever sold that car.

Thanks to all who participated it this thread.
