Here's the story. I am in the process of removing a bunch of (what I feel is) crap that the previous owner installed in my car..ie large stereo, speakers, amplifiers, goofy alarm system.

Anyway, while removing some of the wiring I came across this BOSCH part. Wiring came off the battery term, in through the firewall, into this adapter and to the main power plug for a stereo. Ok, no biggie. Then I noticed that it split off and was connected to my fuel gauge? What is the deal with that? I didn't want to mess with it without trying to find out what it is first.

It shows on it:

BOSCH 12V 20/30A 0 332 204 150

There are 4 connectors being used and one in the middle that nothing is plugged in to.

The car isn't running right now, but should be by the end of this week....hopefully. Smiler

Thanks for any help!

Adam

Ok, it's a yellow wire going from 86 on the relay to a light blue 3m adapter that has a pink wire going through it and the pink wire connects to the center of the fuel gauge and to the bottom right connector on the back of the gauge (right side if you are looking directly at the front of the gauge)

Thanks for the help. I'm learin' Wink
Adam,

The pink wire comes from fuse #12 and supplies some kind of power to the fuel, water, and oil gauges in the console. It sounds like they connected to the pink to supply power to the relay.

Do you have a test light? If so, you can check it to see if it's constant power, or just key on power. I think it's key on.

In any event, it doesn't matter. Remove the yellow wire from the blue 3m connector and you're good to go! You can leave the connector there for possible future use. You never know when you may need a power source!

Just make sure there are no exsposed wires coming off the pink.
