I am interested in a set of wheels for a standard body ’74 Pantera.
Reading back through the previous posts it looks like I need –
17x8 with 5.25 backspace – 235/40/17 tires for the front.
17x11 with 6.5 backspace – 335/35/17 tires for the rear.
PCD 4.5, 5stud.
Can anyone please confirm this is correct?

That's what I have except for the front tires are 245s.
235s should be fine. (maybe even better?)

Coddington's 17" x 8" Campy clones have 5.375" backspacing and yes, 235/40-17 is a better size tire for the front.
