Where is the transmission tag

Where is the tranny tag on the ZF? I'd like
to take a look at it while getting all the
numbers for the registry. If the tag is not
there is there some other place this number
might be located? TIA.

Your tranny tag is underneath the shifter box on the drivers side. Remember, this trans was originally designed to be upside down in the GT-40s and Mangustas, so a lot of stuff is underneath- like the fill plug. Bill Milburn will appreciate the info- thanks!

And the tag "under" should match the # stamped in the case, on top, easy to see.
