My Pantera has the Wilwood Superlite II and I can not get this brakes to lock up, they stop the car but I feel that they should feel more powerful. My car has the shuttle valve and I've found that the rear brakes are hooked up to the front side of the master cylinder with the Front Calipers attached to the rear side of the master cylinder. Could this condition result in the feeling I have of lack power? I've bleed the system 4 times and changed the fluid (DOT 3) and still feel that the system is not up to a level of performance that the Wilwoods should be at.

Which side of the shuttle valve is probably less important that the fact that the whole valve is useless. All it does is turn on a red warning light IF you have thin brake pads with ground wires in them. Unless you've drilled your new pads, the light will never light up. The stock proportioning valve also is useless since it was set for 185-70x 15 front tires & 205-70x 15 rears. ANY other tire size throws the balence off. Finally, the std Wilwood pads are very hard, for long wear. I suggest you try some slightly stickierPorterfield pads. And discard the non-functioning plumbing in your brake system

I've removed all the old plumming and installed new, I also found that the Master Cylinder was not adjusted properly between the booster and the cylinder (Long pedal) in reviewing the rest of the hardlines and the flex lines I found several fitings on the calipers which were ground by someone who didn't care about the owners safety. Currently I'm still in the process of bleeding the air out after all the disassembly. I'll keep you updated.
