Up for auction is a RARE 5 speed 1971 DASH 1 ZF Transaxle from early (Push Button) DeTomaso Pantera in great condition. I am also including the rare factory bellhousing specific to this transaxle. This was fully refurbished by a well known ZF tech (Les Gray) in Phoenix Arizona about 5 years ago and only has 600 miles on it. The ring gear has been properly safety wired. There is a small chip at the set bolt location for the speedo input on the side of the case. Half of the threads on this small protrusion are missing. The bolt still threads in and is now sealed with black silicon. This has no effect on its operation or mechanical condition (Refer to pictures). I still have not finished the project and this DASH 1 ZF is too rare and not the right application for this build. The transaxle is in perfect working order and was just removed a week ago for these pictures. Can be picked up locally in southern California or I will crate and ship at buyers expense. Payment in full must be received before shipped or at the time of local pick up. All PayPal fees will need to be paid by the buyer. This transaxle is advertised locally and seller has the right to end the auction early.

The ID plate is a little hard to read, but I believe this is what it shows

The ratio is:
2.42, 1.??, 1.09, 0.96, 0.705

Ring gear is 4.22

Reverse gear is 2.86

Tach is 2.4

Let me know if there is anything else I can clarify....Thank you for looking
