What type of solution is there for the 4.6 EFI, other than the tiny air restricted K & N filter that sits on top of the TB?

I'm really looking for solutions on what other 4.6 converted Panteras have for an air cleaner set up. When the deck lid is down, it actually smashes the air cleaner down. I'm guessing air flow is OK. I just don't like a motorcycle air cleaner as the solution when the conversion was done. This was done way before I owned the car.

This looks like another solution - modular motor Boss intake?
Dave Doddeck (CrazyDave on this forum) did a 4.6 conversion and wrote about it in a 3-part series of articles published in the POCA newsletters in 2007. I believe you can see his air cleaner solution in the last installment.

Thanks Garth. I'll do some digging. I have that issue I'm sure. Have them going back to the 70s. I'm playing with the thought of changing the intake. We'll see.
