I think i may have sold the first Pantera in Calif but saying that i worked For Lincoln Mercury Pasadena Calif i also visited and helped In Long beach Signal Hill where Pantera's were held before delivery to dealers working with Bill Stroppe of Bronco fame helping to reroute the radiator inlet and outlet cooling lines from the inside of the cockpit to under the car as the heat generated made the York compressor a/c useless also replacing frozen wheel bearings bad ZF shifting etc.
Ford sent us to Riverside Raceway ,now gone ,to learn how to drive the car with Radial tires before the belted replaced them pumping up the the front tires to 38 for racing Bob Bondurant took us around the track he explained to me that he had been in a bad crash in the past and his soles & skin on his feet were tore off and he had to were special shoes as we hit 120 mp ! That track had banking , go to fast your over the top .
The early cars were hand built with chrome trim etc Ford gave us a book on how to sell the car and how not to land in someones garden etc in test drives as a lot of buyers were boy racers including the Cops who were the worst drivers just saying and scared the ----- out of me .
All told i think i sold about 15 cars as the other salesmen could not get in the car with their white shoes and white belts .
