I am upgrading my brakes to a big brake kit which requires deleting the proportioning valve. I am also replacing the existing lines with a set of SS lines. Rather than replace the valve with a T fitting I wanted to gut the valve to retain a stock appearance under the hood. When I tried to connect the new lines to the gutted valve the fittings from the brake lines would not fit the valve. I know there are two proportioning valves used on the Pantera. Did they use different fittings?
I have a 72 and assumed I had 72 lines but when I look at Pantera Place my valve appears to be a 71 (brass footing) Thoughts?
