After working day and night to get the Pantera ready for the Vegas fun rally this year. I was really burnt out. Fact is I have really not even cleaned up the mess in the back garage or put a wrench to the car since Vegas.

But I'm happy to report once again I have waited to the last minute to work out a few bugs in the car before the Monterey trip. This evening I installed the Meriha cooling fans I bought on ebay and they worked great. also replace a blown tail light fuse, I wonder what caused that?

So now I just need to install my seats but first I must find the driver side seat tracks that somehow has seperated from passenger side seat tracks. This has already consumed more time than the actual installation should take.

Painting under the front and rear hood will have to wait for another event as my time has expired for new project before Monterey.

Mark my friend,

I'm sorry to read prepping the car is more of a chore than anticipated. I know what a bitch it is to misplace something like that. I saw your beautiful yellow push button at 'Vegas, and I loved it. Get that seat mounted and don't stress out over the details like painting under the hood. Everyone will appreciate seeing your smiling face at Monterey. Especially me.

Mark my Brother in Frustration, I'll see you there, you will recognize me, I'll be the one with the 3:00 am bags under my eyes.
6808 is almost done, align decklid, and mount door mirrors, finish detail and load the trailer. Then drive 8 hours. See you all there Thursday night, I'll be in the bar.

Hahaha. My new radiator install (pics in photo gallery) was completed at 4:00am the night before (rather, morning of) Concorso last August. I took an hour and a half nap, then got up and drove to Monterey for Concorso. I wasn't going to miss it for anything!

In year's past I've removed and scrubbed the back sides of the wheels (why?), repainted the suspension, and done all sorts of detailing that no one ever would see. This year I'm doing things in moderation - a fresh coat of wax, tightened all the oil pan bolts and header bolts, greased the suspension and half shafts, and lubricated the shifter and shift rod center support (trunion?).

See you at Concorso!
Ciao!
Garth
