I tried to use Carfax to get the history of my 71 pb to no avail
carfax did not accept my 11 digit vin or my plate number
I tried to get a history via paying Az DMV for their history report and it only showed me; this pb has been in AZ for 50 years
any ideas?

Carfax is not available for older vehicles before 1981 that didn't use a 17 digit VIN, and even when it is available it is only good for reported data, not all states report.
The only available information for a Pantera is a Marti Report for where first sold, unless the Registry has some data.
#1310 is represented nicely at Provamo.com
I looked at it quite a bit when restoring #1313 because #1310 is largely original and unrestored. I have additional photos of the car from ads that the current owner has posted over the years.

if you know what state it was registered in, you can make a request to DMV but I am not sure they will provide you past owners names. From Bill Van Ess' 1994 DeTomaso registry, a George Fontes was the owner then. No state location was provided by the owner to Bill.
