The Concorso Italiano, held in Marina California, is a bit less than 3 weeks away. Its taking place on Saturday Aug. 19 this year. There is still plenty of time to register if you haven't already. Debbie and I will be there as usual. Hoping to see you there!

Read on the DETO email page that Concorso Italiano 2024 may not happen. Their website and FB page has been inactive since last year's event. Has anyone got updated info on this event? I know several of the long time shows during Monterey car week have gone away as of late. Too many events, show organizers passing on, etc.
I was wondering about that as we are going to Monterey car week and was looking for ticket prices?? Website looked dead??
I posted to the Email List that I, like others, had found the website to still be showing last year’s information. I sent an email directly to the owner Tom McDowell over two weeks ago and heard nothing.
I did manage to talk to a member of the event staff at the black horse golf course and they said that although they were aware of an ownership change for Concorso, the event was still scheduled for August 17.

FWIW - it still shows up as an event on the Monterey Car week website. I saw on another site that the ticket price was $310 last year?? Is that true?? I was a bit shocked at that. I know Pebble is $495 this year, (which is also shocking), but the Pebble event has a different 'feel' - as in more special (I was there in 2016) than Concorso?
I saw that on the Monterey Car week as well Rob. Yes, the prices per event are very, very expensive. Hence kind of why I stopped going. You can walk the streets in Carmel and Monterey and see many of the same cars for free! Of course Pebble Beach is very special on the greens, etc.

If you really want to spend money, attend The Quail at $600 a ticket. Of course its been sold out for many months, unless you are Mario Andretti.
panterapatt - LOL. I agree - there is so much to do that is free or not horribly expensive (Laguna Seca, for example). For me, Pebble is a splurge. In 2016, we had to go as it was the 50th anniversary of the Ford GT racing cars. It was truly a unique/special experience for a car guy from Michigan.
I have always had the itch to go back to car week, so this is the year. I have until the end of July to make the decision to buy the Pebble tickets - they go up to $595 (!!!) on August 1st.
Funny story ( at least to me), I entered the "lottery" for The Quail several years ago and one day get an email from them saying I have been selected to buy tickets and the price is $600 and some dollars. So I call them to make the purchase and the woman says - "that's $600+ EACH". My wife says yea, we are not going to that show.
Concorso spectator tickets have always been rather high, the way to attend is as an exhibitor (gets your car and two passengers in) and with the early bird pricing, of course that may be immaterial if it's gone tits up.
Concorso is on for 2024. They have a temporary page saying that they will have a new website up soon to launch the 2024 event, and registration begins in April. We will most likely pass on the show but it is nice to see that it will continue!
(curious to see how much a spectator ticket will be!)
Says something when they are "rebuilding" a web site for something that costs upwards of $400 a person to attend 4 months from now.
