extend 5th. gear | The De Tomaso Forums

I now have the gear set 0.620 to extend the 5th. gear only. I was told that a rod internal need to be reworked caused by the extended size of the gear. Does somebody have a drawing / photo / sketch with dimension where and how much material need to be grind ? thanks, Uli

Got this from Lloyd at RBT.

My gear isn’t as tall as yours, mine is a .655. Maybe you need to go deeper on the cut?

I think a mill would be the better method to remove the material, but I guess you could grind it off, too…
