@wpl - PM just sent. I do not see a picture for the Amerisport air box. Can you post a picture.

Yes it does , the box was designed to help dissipate fuel vapor for emissions
Kirk Evans brought in the Amerisport cars, and he did the emissions certification. These were cars imported in the mid-80s IIRC.
Kirk fabricated these air boxes, and got the cars to pass emissions, so they could be imported.
Once they were successfully in country, from what I understand, most of those boxes were removed and replaced by some other carbueretion system, which is why those air boxes are so rare…
Maybe Wil (or others) knows more about them…. I’d be interested in hearing about the subject!
