Hey dudes!

Every year, the city of Fillmore (new headquarters of Pantera International) puts on a classic car show on the fourth of July. Its a really big deal. the city swells from its normal population of 14,000 to about 60,000 on the fourth. There are vendor booths set up on the park next to city hall. About 200 owners & their cars from all over So Cal show up to display.

There is normally no Panteras at this show. It just doesn't seem right that a car show in the city where Pantera International is headquartered has no Panteras in attendance. I would like to change that.

Would anyone be interested in driving their Pantera to Fillmore on the fourth, showing their car and later we'll all rendevous at my place I'll barbeque us up a bunch of steaks and we can hang out and visit. I'll fire up the hot tub for anyone who would like to soak & relax. If you stay past sunset, you have a pretty good view of the aerial portion of the town's fireworks display from my front yard.

Fillmore is one of the few cities in So Cal where fireworks (the safe and sane kind) are legal to purchase & use. So you could bring the kids and join my neighbors in lighting fireworks in the street in front of my home. Some of the folks in the surrounding neighborhood bring in the illegal fireworks and set off displays rivaling that of the city's. It gets pretty outrageous sometimes.

I would love to make this an annual get together, if there's enough interest. If we get several cars entered, I will do a story for the magazine too.

Chuck,

I haven't spoken with the organizers yet, I was waiting to see what kind of response I get, so I would know what kind of "sales job" I could hit them with. right now it doesn't look like I have much to sell them.

My guess is that there are a limited number of entries, and they probably sell out quickly.
