Front upper a arm bushing aft bolts.

I guess I’ll get a chance to find out on my own latter, but I thought I would ask;

While I was removing the brake calipers today in prep to remove the front suspension, I noticed the bolt for the inner aft bolt in an awkward location. The bolt was installed from the inside with the nut on the aft end, BUT I can’t see the nut!

Is there access from the passenger foot area?

I just got through with that. The nut is there you just have to use a large screw driver and pry in there to expose it. Then I used some needle nose vise grips to grab the nut. I do believe you can get it from the inside because I saw carpet, but don't know how hard it would be to access.

There should be an access hole in the foot well. It is under the carpet and fitted with a plug. Here is a pic of mine on the right side - left is similar. Rodney

Grab the nut or the head with vise grips turn the other. No prob.

I hear you RRS1...
but I am working with a limited tool box (ie no pliers).

Since my intent is just to get some weight off the front end before transferring to the dolly, If it gets to dificult, I'll just leave the front upper arms and let the next guy worry with them.

I'm certain I did mine without help or special tools. I think I used a ratchet socket and wedged it against the floor/console inside while I worked the nut off from the outside.

An open end wrench will reach into that limited space area. Stuff some rags into that space below the nut, so that if you drop the nut, it won't fall into the sheet metal cavity. Been there done that, and I was able to retrieve the nut (eventually).
