That's great guys thanks I was checking torque settings for my boss 351c and the settings stated half the bolts torqued with oil and the remainder with sealer but I checked my old block and could not see what they were talking about ,as this is the first 351 I have built I think it better to be sure thanks again tony
That thing about sealer on head bolts is another load of tosh that has crept in from the guys that build Chevys.

Those Chevy things have primitive features like bolts that go straight into the water jacket, no thrust bearing on the camshaft, unmachined rocker cover sealing surfaces, press in rocker arm studs, small valves, small ports, dodgy bottom ends that must have 4 bolts or they will break, flimsy cranks that have to be upgraded to steel and a whole bunch of other faults the Cleveland does not suffer from.

I guess the Chev guys are trying to help, it's just they are ignorant of Cleveland superiority as their prejudices don't permit them to try one...... Eeker roll on floor Red Face
