Jack I was wondering what you thought about a couple of ideas? 1. What if you put scoops under the car on both sides of the water hoses in the back to direct air into the engine bay if that would affect the negitive pressure and or would it affect the deck lid in anyway? 2. what if you put aluminum u shaped pipes with fins on them over the water pipes under the car, would that help to cool the water and act as a small rad.? also it would pull some of the heat away from the passenger compartment. I can have these half pipes with the fins made on them for me and might do them myself. just wanted to get your imput. I just put some sound and heat ins. on the divider behind the seats and it cut down on heat and noise alot. I have some other things to try and will let you know how they go. Thanks Paul...

Might do their bit, but be very careful with mods involving the main water pipes. The prototype Pantera had the big water pipes up inside the center console, and quickly lowered them to their present position under the floor when test drivers were seriously overheated. The gearshift boot was added at the same time. Theres a lot of heat radiating off the big tubes already, and for one reason or another, it seems the cabin attracts it. The floor actually heats up in some Panteras! As far as an underbody scoop, no one really knows how the air flows under the car; we can only guess. But it seems likely that a lot of the underbody air has already been heated pretty hot by first going through the radiator. Some guys have added underbody airscoops like you describe to direct air to rear oil coolers, mostly unsuccessfully, though. I suspect road debris and the like damaged or destroyed them.
