Ok, an invitation for anyone who needs something to do , has anyone taken measurements of the Mangusta skid plate? I believe whether DeT made these is forever a mystery, but this design seems to pop-up on different continents...dang me for not spending 10 minutes to measure 8ma1046 when I had it on the lawn, has anybody else? I have a friend with a plasma cutter hobby..

Oh, a volunteer I've waited for Denis to take on this project (!) and I'm embarrassed that I didn't make a single measurement of that skid plate on 8ma1046 (its just too common to not have had some connection to someone in the DT world...). But my guess-- its 1/8" steel...(and I only guess that instead of 3/16" because my natural inclination, the more I look at something the bigger it gets...!). But starting with the angle iron section at the end, somehow a 0.120" section seems like a logical number...and hopefully won't be too impossible to bend.
