Maybe I don't undertand, but why do you keep buying them?

I want my tach to work? Do I have a choice?

I'm half hoping my MSD system will give up the ghost so that I can buy the Pantera Electronics Ignition System (PI Ignition System) - doesn't need a tach adaptor, and has a raft load of cool features (Rev Limiter, Timing retard at startup ... if I had an electric choke or electric fuel pump or working A/C, it's got some bells and whistles to manage them too).

However, if the Tach adapter is your only issue, it may be a stretch to justify the extra $$ to get the PI solution in the short term.

I never could get the MSD adapter to work. The P-E ignition fixed that and then some. Simple to install too.

To add insult to injury, the MSD people have an attitude that there isn't anything wrong with their product, just me.

I do not take kindly to that from anyone. They made it clear that they didn't need my business. We came to a mutual agreement. I don't need their crap either.

Just my personal experience with MSD. There are those that love them.

I guess if you do, and they break, buy some more?

I don't love them or hate them. My MSD stuff works flawlessly. Maybe I just got lucky.
Now, having said that, it will quit on me tomorrow.

My MSD 6A and Tach Adapter as well as my Mallory Unilight distributor and Blaster coil have all worked flawlessly for 25 years now.

You can't ask for much more than that!!

Mine works fine, and the tach works.

Lots of info with a quick search.

I bought a replacement off Ebay for 39$ and my tach works again! Funny how it made the buzzing sound, and killed performance. I found more 3 amp fuses too. Now lets get out and drive!
