New Rear ball joint help

I have half of my rear suspension together and now it appears the upper ball joint is limiting the amount of downward movement in the suspension. It definitely comes to the end of its travel outwards and stops the suspension from going any lower. I don't remember this being the case prior to my new ball joints being installed.

Did you align the index mark on the ball joint with the straight tube of the a-arm?

Yeah they are off, I have a press but hesitated doing them myself as the lip to press against is very small, anyways I will take them in and get them reset.

Yes, I attached a pic. You need to be logged-in in order to see pics. Otherwise, you will see a circle with a diagonal line through it.

If you have a large socket or a piece of pipe or tubing, you can use that to press against the ball joint. They are usually not that tight of a press fit.

Muffler pipe worked like a charm, realigned the ball joints and all is good.
