I want to get a true oil pressure reading so I want to put a mechanical oil pressure gauge in the block where the sending unit was before it was moved. Anyone have sugestions as to what has worked well for you?
I use an mechanical Autometer gauge, Ultra lite series. Just be careful running the copper line from the sender to the gauge so that it is supported from excessive vibration and moving items like the shift shaft. A leak is a very bad thing.
Thanks JT, What I want is to have the gauge mounted right on the engine. I have used Auto meter before, nice gauges. The ultra lite looks good. Will it work for what I want?
I've mountedd an oil pressure guage on the motor with good results. I would just make sure that you get a glycerine filled gauge as it will steady the needle the engine vibration.
